Life Pending Report
Project Overview:
Created an interactive experience so insurance agents can track life insurance applicants through the underwriting process for Nationwide Insurance’s independent agent servicing web portal that will work on mobile as well as on the desktop. The interactive report needed to be mobile first for its design, so we broke a table of data down into independent cards of information. Taking a table and making it into a digital Rolodex.
Project Set-up:
Led a 2 person UX team consisting of interaction designer (me) and visual designer
Close collaboration with business units and Dev team
Completed in high fidelity wireframe generated in Axure
Short-Term Assistance

Close collaboration with business units and Dev team
Research project to determine user needs
Completed in a remote agile environment
Designed in Figma
Commercial Claims Research
Project Overview:
Surprisingly, there had not bean any generative research recently done for commercial claims research. The assumption was that Commercial Claims should be treated just like personal claims, just bigger.
This project was to help conduct generative research for determining a direction for future UX work for a Commercial Insurance Claims Line-of-Business.
Project set-up:
Full strength multi-month research project including UX researchers, interaction designers, and content specialists
Research methods included, but were not limited to:
User surveys
User interviews
Card sorting
Interactive prototype building
“Jobs to be done” analysis framework
Semantic network analysis
Technology Product Catalog
Project Overview:
Internal teams for JP Morgan Chase did not have a singular location to research what department owned an internal product, who the product manger was, and what infrastructure assets are associated with that product. This project was to consolidate multiple databases of internal infrastructure assets into a single, easily searchable "Technology Product Catalo"
Project Set-up:
Led a small UX team consisting of interaction designer and visual designer
Close collaboration with business units and Dev team
Completed in Figma
Agile work environment
Housing Management Application
Project Overview:
The LJFF houses unhoused families in a few different apartment complexes in Northeast Ohio to establish permanent residency an allow their children to attend school.
The volunteers and social workers working at the property need an application that will add, edit, and delete tenant information, manage the building events calendar, and create a work request portal.
Project Set-up:
Tactical UX project with a short turn-around and minimal budget
Brought in as a UX expert at near the end of the project to address un-expected data complexity
Completed in Figma
Worked in concert with a front-end developer using SalesForce
I am passionate about designing and crafting user-centered experiences. I’ve spent over ten years collecting and crafting raw information into robust final products. I excel at synthesizing multiple information threads into a single, cohesive tapestry. Applying UX design techniques and methodologies I help users make informed and fluid decisions. Combining extensive project management skills and a Master’s of Science in User Experience Design, I create and deliver user-centered products, projects, programs and services.
I have a myriad of technical skills that I can bring to bear when problem solving. These range from the more standard aspects of user experience design, such as information architecture, user research and analysis, content strategy, and interaction design, to looking at online interactions from a different perspective using spatial analysis methods from my previous career in geographic information systems. I feel confident in saying that I am a very capable and effective User Experience professional, but my true strength comes into play when I am able to help others be better.
